Assessment of Disability and Its Impact On Functionality
Who should attend?
This program is intended for medical professionals, employees in the disability determination services of government agencies, and private insurance carriers working in the areas of workers' compensation.
Program Description
Program attendees will have an opportunity to learn enhanced disability reporting requirement and evaluation skills from credentialed faculty in a number of specialties. At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify and diagnose a true psychiatric disorder and increase the ability to identify a malingered psychiatric illness
- Decrease the misdiagnosis of fibromyalgia
- Increase the consistency of identifying neurological findings with objective findings, and the patient's subjective complaints
- Increase accurate goniometric measurements of the joint ROM for disability evaluations to identify loss of functionality
