One Exam Brings Together QTC, VA and Army
Diamond Bar, CA - July 25, 2003 - In a move that will save taxpayers money and facilitate the transitioning of soldiers to civilians, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Regional Office and representatives from the United States Army at Ft. Stewart, GA, agreed today to combine their resources to provide one medical examination that will meet the requirements of both agencies. This move will eliminate duplicate medical examinations and tests for soldiers who are leaving the Army and filing disability claims with the VA.
QTC's leadership in providing the expertise and necessary tools was instrumental to enabling the VA Regional Office in Atlanta, GA and the Ft. Stewart, GA Army installation to formally agree on methods that created the "one-exam" process.
"I'm proud that QTC can help our nation's servicemembers transition more seamlessly into civilian life," said Steeve Kay, president and CEO of QTC Management, Inc. "This also serves as a model for public-private partnerships. In this case, it's about bringing together two agencies with private industry to provide better services."
For the past six years, QTC Management has been providing Compensation and Pension (C&P) medical disability examinations to veterans in a progressive pilot program through the VA that has surpassed expectations. Through this experience, QTC has acquired a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the VA and its C&P medical disability examination process that is unparalleled in private industry.
Founded in 1981, QTC is the nation's largest private provider of medical examinations and disability evaluations and a pioneer in the development and implementation of software technology to improve the efficiency of conducting and managing disability evaluations. www.qtcm.com.
