Chairman Principi Speaks at NADE National Conference

Diamond Bar, CA - September 18, 2006 - Drawing on his own experience serving our nation's veterans, former Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs Anthony J. Principi gave the keynote address at the 2006 National Association of Disability Examiners National Training Conference held in San Diego, California. More than 350 employees of various state Social Security Disability programs from around the country attended the conference to receive training from renowned experts in a wide array of medical topics.

Principi offered his insights during his tenure serving our nation's veterans and his great admiration for the work that the disability adjudicators are doing for our country's disabled individuals. Citing inspiration from his visits to military hospitals around the world, Principi noted that the realm of disability is something to be addressed with great sensitivity as well as great responsibility as the determination of the disabled individuals' well being rests in the disability adjudicators' hands.

"I'm pleased at the opportunity to speak before these men and women who directly impact our disabled countrymen and women," said Principi. "Knowing that they are attending the NADE National Training Conference assures us all that they are keeping up with the rapid changing rules and regulations regarding disability legislation."
