QTC Celebrates National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week

Diamond Bar, CA - March 10, 2004 - For the sixth consecutive year, QTC employees honored our nation's veterans by providing food and festivities for the disabled population during National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans Week.

Celebrations were held for more than 400 veterans at local VA hospitals and facilities including: Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center, Audie Murphy Hospital in San Antonio and the VA Medical Center Nursing Home in Philadelphia. Veterans enjoyed luncheons, raffles and gift bags containing t-shirts, socks, toiletries and other necessities. In addition, QTC donated DVDs, Stereos and a push-cart to deliver snacks and drinks in recreation rooms.

"This is a unique opportunity for QTC employees to interact with veterans," said Marjie Shahani, vice president of Medical Services. "It is always a pleasure to meet these people face-to-face and an honor to recognize their service to our country by celebrating this special occasion with them."
