First Leidos QTC Employee Receives Leidos HERO Award
SAN DIMAS, CALIFORNIA— Last November, our parent company Leidos honored Senior Benefits Representative Brisa Lopez with a Health Employees Recognizing Others (HERO) award, making her the first Leidos QTC Health Services employee to receive it.
Founded in the first quarter of 2021, the HERO Awards Committee votes upon three winners each quarter. Winners are recognized by Health Group President Liz Porter and receive a HERO-branded award and Leidos-branded item.
Lopez was recognized for negotiating Leidos QTC Health Services medical benefits renewal during Q3 that resulted in $1 million cost reduction for 2022. We then used her analysis and recommendations to invest this $1 million back into our 2022 plans, which significantly reduced our employees’ premiums without compromising coverage offerings.
As healthcare costs rise each year, Leidos QTC Health Services is committed to providing affordable, quality plans that align with our people’s needs. We offer comprehensive health coverage options that include medical, dental, and vision insurance plans for all employees and their families. Additionally, our employees have access to a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP), life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), and long term and short term disability. Lopez understands how benefits impact our team and Leidos QTC Health Services’ ability to attract valuable talent.
“We all have challenges, but choosing healthcare for yourself and your family shouldn’t be one of them,” she said. “I’m proud that I helped my colleagues have greater access to all the benefits Leidos QTC Health Services offers.”
