Jacqueline Golida left Leidos QTC Health Services in April 2022 and returned in June 2023.

Why did you leave Leidos QTC Health Services?

Personal reasons. I worked as a Rapid Site Deployment Medical Assistant, and my husband was not happy with the traveling, so I chose to find a local position.

Why did you return to Leidos QTC Health Services?

After separating from my husband, the opportunity arose to do something that I loved, which is traveling again so I accepted the offer. It was also a promotion from my previous title and that was also a determining factor.

I enjoy the company benefits, bonuses, the gifts, the ability to meet people from diverse backgrounds who also have a love for the men and women who have served our country.

What is it about Leidos QTC Health Services that drew you back?

Working remotely. Every year, I have my grandson for the summer and I’m able to do things with him since I’m already home when I get off.

Traveling for my position allows me to see places and connect with people from other regions. I also have a shot glass collection of more than 100 shot glasses of all the cities and states that I have visited, with me coming back, I can now expand that collection.

What do you do in your current position?

I’m a Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) Event Manager. As part of the Readiness Program, I am responsible for putting together and overseeing the pre deployment events. My staff is responsible for making sure that each service member has everything that is necessary for deployment.

We do everything from vitals, vision, labs, immunizations, to dental, audio, and health assessments. In my position, I get to meet several different military ranks. I form a connection with them and give them the assurance that my team will take great care of the service members during the event.

What advice do you have for former employees who are considering returning to Leidos QTC Health Services?

Do it! It is worth it! I love my job and my company. I love the fact that Leidos QTC Health Services’ values are the main reason why I chose to return. Integrity, Inclusion, Innovation, Agility, Collaboration, and Commitment.

I have been treated like I never left. The love I received from my coworkers who are excited for me to be back was so overwhelming at first. It felt good to be missed and loved.

There have been so many changes since I left, and all the changes have been good. I would encourage anyone who is unsure of whether or not to return, think about it. There are so many different departments that you don’t even have to go back to the one you left.
